The Chicago branch of the American Jewish Physicians Committee has raised $10,000 for the opening of the first Medical Department at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. A special committee to continue the work for funds has been organized, of which Dr. M. Lebenson is Chairman, and Dr. A. Levinson, Secretary.
The Microbiological division of the Medical Department will be opened this Summer, according to the plans of the committee.
