An official statement issued today by the Minister of the Interior Russoff, denies emphatically that the Bulgarian Government intends or practices any discrimination against the Jewish population of Bulgaria. The statement says that those guilty of spreading anti-Semitic propaganda and false rumors will be severely punished.
This is regarded here as being directly aimed against an anti-Semitic leaflet which was recently circulated here.
