Colonial Minister Thomas Does Not Believe Dehaan Murder of Political Character

Replying to the question of Howard Bury, concerning the murder of Israel DeHaan

in Jerusalem. Colonial Minister Thomas stated yesterday, in the House of Commons, that the Jerusalem police is pursuing vigorously its investigation, but that he was not in a position to state what the results of that investigation would be.

He further stated that he was unaware that DeHaan had intended to visit London, and when asked whether the DeHaan murder had any political background, he replied: “I do not believe so.”
