$30,000 has been alloted by the Hebrew Immigrant Aid and Sheltering Society for the Jewish refugees in Roumania, who are facing the danger of being deported to Russia. This money is for the purpose of enabling them to proceed to Canada.

This step was taken at the last meeting of the organization.

As will be recalled, the Ica, through its representatives in Canada, succeeded in making arrangements with the Canadian Government whereby a certain number of the stranded refugees in Roumania would be permitted to land in Canada. The Ica, however, declared that it was unable to provide for their transportation.
