Jewish Social Workers to Hold Conference in Toronto

Problems confronting Jewish social workers will be discussed at the annuel meeting of the National Conference of Jewish Social Service, which is to be held here from June 22nd to 25th. Social workers from all parts of the United States and Canada will attend the sessions, and there will be discussions and presentation of papers by leading social workers.

Dr. Lee K. Frankel of New York, Second Vice President of the Metropolitan Insurance Company will preside at the Monday morning session. The discussion will be led by Dr. H.B. Weiss of Cincinnati and will be participated in by Frank E. Chapman of Cleveland, Miss Prances N. Harrison of Philadelphia and Dr. Charles D. Spivak of Denver.

Psycho-analysis and its bearings on social work will be a feature of the Monday evening session. Dr. Abraham Myerson of Boston will lecture on “The Value and Limitation of Psychiatry.” Discussion will be handled by Dr. A.A. Brill, noted psychiatrist of New York, and Miss Estelle Levy, also of New York.

Jewish education will be the theme for the Tuesday evening meeting which will be presided over by Jacob Billikopf, Executive Director of the Philadelphia Federation of Jewish Charities.
