Ernest H. Goeldner, German Consul to Mexico and official representative of the Mexican Department of Agriculture and Industry, who arrived here on his way to Europe, and a special mission to Russia, declared in an exclusive interview with the correspondent of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, that the Mexican Government is now considering a large colonization project.
Mr. Goeldner, who is sailing on July 5th, will confer with the Jewish Colonization Association in Paris and with the Jewish Emigration Directorium in Berlin, regarding Jewish colonization in Mexico. Mr. Goeldner intends to bring back with him from Russia 4,000 Mennonite colonists, who intend to settle in Mexico.
He warned Jewish immigrants and persons desiring to bring over relatives to Mexico of the activities of fraudulent dealers in Mexican lands, who have succeeded in bringing over a number of Jewish refugees, who are now stranded in Mexico.
