General Sikorski, Minister of War, gave an interview to Deputy Kirschbraum of the Agudath Israel, who complained to him of the hardships imposed on the Jewish soldiers in the Polish Army.
Deputy Kirschbraun drew the Minister’s attention to the secret instructions issued by his predecessor, General Sosnkowski, which are still being carried out, although they constitute a violation of the Constitution. He also showed the Minister copies of secret instructions which had come into his possession, proving that the commanding officers were pursuing an anti-Jewish policy in accordance with the instructions.
Jewish soldiers, the Deputy continued, are subjected to corporal punishment by non-commissioned officers on the slightest pretext, and in most cases they have been so intimidated that they are afraid to lodge a complaint.
