On the occasion of the King’s birthday, Sir Herbert Samuel, British High Commissioner, conveyed to Miss Annie Landau, the head-mistress of the Evelina de Rothschild school here that she has been awarded the M.B.E., in the Colonial Office list of birthday honors.
Honors have also been awarded in the Colonial Office List to five Palestinian officials: District Police Commandant Wainwrigh Mr, Reading, sub-district Governor of Tulkeram, Mustafa el-Khipry, Mayor of Ramleh, Selim Hanna, Assistant Police District Commandant and Asmin Rizk, a Government official.
