Polish Assimilationists, Forced by Election, Create Separate Community

“Poles of the Mosaic Faith” will be the name of a separate Jewish community in Warsaw, which the Polish Jewish Assimilationists intend to establish, because of their complete defeat at the last Kehillah elections.

Important negotiations are now being conducted between the representatives of the newly elected Zionist and Mizrachi groups and the non-partisan delegate.

The purpose of these negotiations is to create in the Kehillah Council a National Jewish bloc, which would appose the policies of the large number of orthodox Agudist delegates. The program of this proposed bloc would be, inter alia, to introduce a compulsory tax upon the Jewish population for the purpose of furthering immigration to Palestine.
