Russian Jewish Communists to Investigate Right of Habimah to Exist

The existence of the Hebrew art theatre, Habimah, in Moscow, is now imperilled by the decision of the Jewish Section of the Russian Communist Party, to appoint a commission to investigate the right of the Habimah to be considered a state academic theatre and to receive the support of the Soviet Government.

The intention of the Jewish Communists, who consider it an abnormal fact that in the fortress of Communism there should exist such a nationalistic institution as the Hebrew theatre, is to undermine the existence of the theatre and to destroy its reputation while its leaders are away.
