The representative of the Soviet Government here presented today to the Polish Foreign Minister, the note of Tchitcherin, protesting against the persecution of the national minorities in Poland, referring especially to the order of the Polish Government closing the schools and newspapers of the national minorities, particularly in those parts of the Ukraine and White Russia belonging to Poland.

The note points out that this mistreatment of the minorities is a direct violation of the peace treaty concluded between the Soviet Government and Poland at Riga, in 1921.
