A section of the Venezelist Party has commenced a widespread anti-Semitic agitation because the Jews abstained from the elections to the Greek Assembly several weeks ago.

To combat this anti-Semitism a mized Jewish and Greek committee has been formed which has been assured by the Governor-General that he will not permit anti-Semitic agitation and that he is convinced that Jewish abstention from the polls was not because of disloyalty to Greece but on account of dissatisfaction over the separate electoral sector for the Jewish voters.
