Fear Anti-semitic Excesses at Funeral of Roumanian Chief of Police

Special Despatch to the Jewish Daily Bulletin

The funeral of the Chief of Police who was murdered by one of the anti-Semitic university students, took place in Jassy today.

It was stated that the student shot the Chief of Police because he had dispersed a meeting of anti-Semitic students at the University of Jassy. The slayer and fifteen other students are held by the police.

Anxiety was displayed by the Jewish population of Jassy, with regard to the funeral, but the local police took special precaution in order to prevent anti-Semitic excesses.
