Important resolutions giving a clear picture of present-day Jewish life in Soviet Russia were passed at the Conference of the All-Ukrainian Yevsektzia, which has just been concluded.
The Conference expressed the opinion that mere communistic propaganda among the Jewish masses in Russia is insufficient, and the extending of economic help to the Jewish artisans is imperative. The establishment of loan institutions and artisans associations was advised.
The Conference also adopted a resolution, urging the Soviet Government to relieve the Jewish artisan class of the burden of heavy taxation imposed upon them. “Otherwise, it would be imsible to combat the influence of the Zionist labor parties”, the resolution states.
