Leon Croll, young Jewish painter, was awarded the Potter Palmer gold medal and $1,000 in cash for his painting “Young Women” at the 37th annual exhibition of American paintings and sculpture opened at the galleries of the Art Institute in Chicago.

The first Southwestern Assembly of the Jewish Chatauqua Society will celebrate the thirty-third annual Assembly or the Society and will be held in Dallas. Texas, November 28 to 30. This Assembly includes the district of Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee and Missouri. A large delegation of men and women from that territory will be in attendance and many from other points beyond the district.
