Ibanez Says Zola, Defender of Dreyfus, is His Example

“In hours of doubt, it is the attitude of Zola during the Dreyfus affair which imbues me with renewed courage and vigor”, Blasco Ibanez. Spanish revolutionist and writer said in paying tribute to Emil Zola at the unveiling of a bust in commemoration of the twenty-second anniversary of his death.

Ibanez, as is known, fled from Spain because of his revolutionary activities and in exile has continued his fight for the establishment of a republic in Spain.
