M. Andree Citroen, well known automobile manufacturer, was appointed a member of the Administrative Council of the National Conservatory of Arts.

The Academy of Sciences has given the Henri de Parville prize to Commandant Paul Bloch, formerly a student at the Polytechnic Institute. The prize of the Cahours Foundation has been awarded to Mlle. Suzanne Veil, doctor of sciences.

Mme. Marcel Levy, agriculturist of Setif and Emile May of Paris have been appointed Chevaliers of the Legion of Honor.
