Wong, a Sinkiangese Jew, is the representative of the reconstituted Society for the Rescue of Chinese Jews. He has been sent to the province of Kie Feng-fu, where the remnants of an old Chinese Jewish colony are still to be-found.

Wong has arrived in Kie Feng-fu and has communicated with the Jewish community here, stating that he has obtained interesting information and is starting constructive work in the Chinese Jewish community.

A correspondent of the Jewish Daily Bulletin who recently visited the province described the situation of the Kie Feng-fu Jews, saying, “They are Chinese. Absorbed, assimilated, rendered indistinguishable; every vestige of Jewishness has been completely effaced.”
