Colonization of Jews who live in Russian Armenia was made possible by a decree issued by the Armenian Communist Government.
“Jews who want to settle on the land should be provided with sufficient land,” the decree states.
The conference of Jewish Land-settlers, which was held in Minsk this week, closed today. The conference adopted a number of resolutions urging intensified activities in agricultural and cultural work among the Jews of Soviet Russia. The conference was held in the building which was formerly the Great Synagogue of Minsk.
