Lithuanian Government Party Resents Jewish Emigration to Palestine

Several Christian Democratic Deputies speaking in the Sejm in the course of the debate on the Budget, attacked the Jewish population, declaring that they are selling their goods and emigrating to Palestine.

Deputy Finklestin, speaking on behalf of the Club of Jewish Deputies, protested against the policy of the Lithuanian Bank of Issue on the ground that it is granting credits only to Christian banks.

The speakers of all the Opposition parties condemned the policy of the Government and attributed to it the financial difficulties in the country.
