Union of Rabbis in Poland Requests President Coolidge and Congress to Admit 800 Jewish Women

President Coolidge and the Congress of the United States were invoked to apply the principle of common humanity in the case of 800 Agunoth, women whose husbands are in America, in a resolution adopted by the Union of Rabbis of Poland at its annual conference here.

A telegraphic message was sent to President Coolidge and the United States Congress requesting sympathy for the 800 women separated from their husbands, who are declarants in the United States. The Agunoth, cannot be admitted under the present law. The rabbis request the President of the United States to make an exception of these women and permit them to join their husbands.
