At an impressive mass meeting for the United Jewish Appeal, the joint campaign of the United Palestine Appeal and the United Jewish Campaign, a total of $150,000 was announced as already raised.
Among the speakers were Maurine Samuel, Mrs. Archibald Silverman of Providence, R. I., Judge Goldin of San Francisco, and Vera Gordon.
The quota for Los Angeles in the joint campaign is $200,000 for this year.
