The Indiana Floorings, who with the New York Giants, defeated the Hakoah soccer team last Saturday challenged the Hakoah to play a charity game on May 29. This challenge was made as a result of the ###aim made by the Hakoah that it could defeat either the Giants or Indiana teams individually.

The Indiana Floorings proposed that half of the proceeds of the challenge game go to the Sports Section of the Cathedral of St. John Building Fund and half to the United Jewish Campaign Relief Fund.

PLANS FOR STRENGTHENING JEWISH PUBLICATION SOCIETY

Plans to raise funds for the continuation of the work of the Jewish Publication Society were discussed by Jewish leaders at a dinner given by Ludwig Vogelstein.

The Jewish Publication Society, it was declared, finds its work handicapped by lack of funds.

It had a deficit in 1921 amounting to $120,000. President Simon Miller announced and, although all but $40,000 of this amount has since been paid, he said, funds must be raised if the society is to continue its work.

One suggestion adopted toward financial support was that or increasing the membership of the society. Several Rabbit present agreed to further this feature of campaign for measuring the income by appealing for support to their congregations.
