Julius Rosenwald. American Jewish philanthropist, and Mrs. Rosenwald returned to Chicago today from a trip abroad.
Mr. Rosenwald made the European trip for his health and therefore did not go to Palestine. The philanthropist was not well enough to stand the hardships and inconveniences attendant upon a longer tour, which would include the Zionist homeland, his son-in-law, Alfred Stern, stated.
The Chicago Industrial Museum, which Mr. Rosenwald proposed while abroad, is still the subject of conference, he said. Further plans will be announced later by a committee which has the matter in charge.
“Naturally as I made the tour for my health I had to restrict my journeying. Business and political conditions in the European countries where I did go are getting better and relief from the effects of the war are becoming more and more evident,” Mr. Rosenwald stated.
