The returns of the election of delegates to the Kehillah, the Jewish communal board in Berlin, made public today discloses the fact that the liberals no longer constitute a majority in the Kehillah.
The liberals obtained ten seats on the board of the Kehillah, the Zionists 7, the orthodox 3 and the Poale Zion 1. The fight developed between the Zionists and the Liberals on the contention of the Liberals that the Jews in Germany constitute only a religious sect, being opposed to the introduction of social and national questions into the jurisdiction of the Kehillah.
The election campaign was conducted with great excitement.
Ten nurses were graduated from the Hebrew Hospital. Baltimore, Md., the diplomas being presented by Leon Coblens, president of the board of directors. Addresses were made by Dr. Harry Friedenwald and Rabbi William Rosenau, of the Eutaw Place Temple.
