The last request of Andrey Sobol, the Russian Jewish novelist who committed suicide here last week, was that his Jewish stories be collected and issued in a separate volume, according to the novelist’s will filed here.

Sobol stated in his will that he desired the volume to be issued under the title “Evrei” (Jews).

The Myassoyedow Street in Odessa will be renamed Sholom Aleichem Street, in memory of the late Yiddish humorist, according to a decision of the Odessa municipality.
