The Delphiner silk factory, the closing of which recently attracted wide attention and criticism against the Palestine administration for its tariff policy, will be reopened.

Max Delphiner, Viennese silk manufacurer, informed his representative here of his decision to reopen.

The Palestine government recently promulgated a new law exempting cotton, wool and silk yarns from import duty.

The promulgation of this law was welcomed by manufacturers as it is expected to result in an improvement of the position of the textile industry in the country.
