Richard Beer-hoffmann Honored on 60th Birthday

All the papers here are devoting articles in honor of Richard Beer-Hoffmann, the well known dramatist, on the occasion of his sixtieth birthday.

Richard Beer-Hoffman is the writer who dramatized a number of stories from the Bible. He is the author of “Jacob’s Dream,” “Saul,” “David” and “Solomon,” and many other plays that have gained wide recognition.

The appointment of Rabbi Emil W. Leipziger. of New Orleans, as chairman of the Social Service Committee of the Independent Order B’nai B’rith, was announced by Alfred M. Cohen, president of the Order.

The cornerstone for the Jewish Community House of Woodmount, Burwells Beach and Merwins Beach. Conn., was laid on Sunday.

Sameul Eskin is president of the congregation.
