The definite establishment of the status of all the national minorities in Roumania, excepting the Jews, is expected in the near future, according to a statement made by M. Goldisch, Minister of Religious Affairs.
M. Goldisch, in making his statement, declared that he is preparing for the autumn session of Parliament, a law which will regulate the affairs of the National Minorities. This law, he said, would finally make clear the position of the National Minorities in Roumania and would put an end to all the causes of friction and misunderstanding which exist at present. The Minorities themselves will be invited to assist in the drafting of the law, he stated.
The Jews, however, who are not regarded by the government as among the National Minorities, are not expected to be invited to take part in the deliberations concerning the new law project.
“A Popular Encyclopedia of Health” by Dr. Lee K. Frankel and Donald B. Armstrong has just been published by Albert and Charles Boni.
The book stresses the importance of keeping well and give important counsel as to personal, home and community sanitation and hygiene. It emphasizes the prevention of disease and the conservation of health.
The two authors have been long connected with the Welfare Division of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and they have drawn freely, in the preparation of the work, on the health conserving methods they have found successful in reducing sickness and death rates among the policy holders of that organization.
The book was written in collaboration with Genevieve Fox.
