The delegation of the Vaad Leumi, the National Council of Palestine Jewry, received a negative response from the Permanent Mandates Commission of the League of Nations when it requested a hearing before the Commission, it was learned here today.
The League of Zionist Revisionists at its recent meeting elected an Administrative Committee.
Prof. Johann J. Smertenko was chosen Chairman; Elias Ginsburg. Vice-Chairman; Mrs. Ida Landau, Executive Secretary and Treasurer. Samuel Caplan of the American Jewish Congress and Mordecai Danzis of the “Jewish Daily News”, were also elected to the Committee.
