Professor Garstang of Antiquities Department in Palestine, Resigns

Professor Garstang, director of the Department of Antiquities of the Palestine government, has handed in his resignation.

Lord Plumer, High Commissioner, has accepted the resignation which is to become effective December 1.

Professor Garstang, who resigned, as it was stated, because of the limited possibilities for larger research work in this position, will return to the chair of archaeology at the University of Liverpool.
