The rejection of a Roumanian honor by the Jewish deputy Waclaw Wiclicki, in a letter he addressed to King Ferdinand, continues to hold the attention of parliamentary circles in the Polish capital.
Speaker Rataj again asked Deputy Wiclicki to discuss the matter yesterday. The speaker pointed out that Deputy Wiclicki received the Roumanian order not as a Jew but as a member of the Polish parliamentary delegation and he should not have insulted the monarch of a country allied with Poland. He urged the Jewish deputy to withdraw his letter to the King.
Deputy Wiclicki, it was stated, declared that he acted in accordance with the dictates of his conscience and that he is willing to submit the matter to the decision of the Club of Jewish Deputies at its general meeting.
