The bill authorizing the British Exchequer to endorse the Palestine Government loan was passed in the House of Lords yesterday at the first reading of the bill.

It was learned today that the British treasury has agreed to give the Palestine Government the surplus of the supplies left in Palestine by the liquidated British gendarmerie. This will make good the expenditure of the Palestine Government of £16,500 incurred while liquidating the British gendarmerie in Palestine.
