In a special delivery letter to Rabbi Felix A. Levy of Temple Emanuel, the Christian Science Committee of Publications for Illinois officially repudiates all anti-Semitic statements made by Mrs. Augusta E. Stetson. The letter was sent as a result of Dr. Levy’s announcement of his sermon for yesterday. “A New Anti-Semite–A Christian Scientist.” In the letter, the Christian Science Committee stated:

“The announcement of your sermon to be delivered in Temple Emanuel March 20, has reached this office, (Chicago). I wish to inform you that our movement is not responsible for Mrs. Augusta E. Stetson’s statements. Mrs. Stetson has not been affiliated with the Church of Christ, Scientist, since 1909. No pronouncements from her radio station have anything to do with the Church of Christ, Scientist. She misrepresents us as well as the Jews.

“I trust these statements of fact may clear up any misapprehension in regard to the attitude toward your denomination of members of the Church of Christ, Scientist.”
