Palestine women were urged to emulate the civic virtues of American womanhood in a message addressed by Mrs. Carrie Chapman Catt, president of the International Women’s Suffrage Organization and founder of the American League of Women Voters, to Palestine Jewish women.

In her message Mrs. Catt stated that Palestine was the center of civilization for a thousand years. It must now resume its place. There must be women councillors and leaders in Palestinian towns. She urges Palestine women to show courage in their claims for equality.
