Goldstein, Keren Hayesod Delegate, is Shipwrecked on His Way to Australia

Dr. Alexander Goldstein, one of the leading Russian Zionists and speaker for the Keren Hayesod, who is on a mission to the Far Eastern Jewish communities, was shipwrecked on his way here. Coming from Java to Australia the steamer Tasman struck a reef one thousand miles from Brisbane.

Dr. Goldstein was stranded seven days and was finally rescued by the Japanese steamer, Akimaru. Dr. Goldstein, who landed at Townsville on the Queensland coast, was slightly injured on the shoulder in the wreck.
