Five of the seven prizes awarded in the All-Polish Chess tournament just concluded here went to Jewish champions.

The first prize went to Rubinstein and the second to Tartakower.

Nathan Straus, Jr., is mentioned as the possible successor of Francis D. Gallatin, who resigned Monday from his post as New York Park Commissioner.
