J. Ramsay Mac Donald is Feted by “jewish Forward” Before Sailing

J. Ramsay MacDonald was the guest at a dinner given in his honor by the “Jewish Daily Forward” Tuesday night before his departure on the Berengaria for London.

Members of the Forward Association, the Socialist party, the International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union, the Amalgamated Clothing Workers, the Millinery, Bakers and Butchers’ Union the Workmen’s Circle and other labor organizations were present at the dinner given at the Plaza Palace Restaurant.

B. C. Vladeck, manager of the “Jewish Daily Forward”, was toastmaster.

Others who spoke besides the guest of honor, were Abraham Beckerman for the Amalgamated Clothing Workers, Joseph Baskin for the Workmen’s Circle, Judge Jacob Panken, Morris Hillquit, Alexander Kahn and Norman Thomas.
