Order Sons of Zion Opens Convention Sessions

The Eighteenth Amual Convention of the Order Sons of Zion opened here yesterday at the Carteret Hotel, in the presence of 200 delegates.

Mr. Sol. Friedland, Nassi of the Order, in his annual report, stated that the difference of opinion which had arisen last year between the Order and the Zionist Organization of America concerning the latter’s adoption of the Revisionist platform, was settled. The Zionist Organization admitted that in matters pertaining to Zionist program, the jurisdiction lies not with the American Federation, but with the World Zionist Organization, he stated.

The Order has a deficit of $19,000, the report shows, and the president in his message asked the delegates to find means to wipe out this deficit.

Six new eamps were organized doting the past year, the secretary’s report showed.

Judge Jacob Strahl reported on the progress of the Judea Life Insurance Company, a subsidiary of the Judea Life Insurance, Ltd., of Palestine, both companies being owned by the Judea Industrial Corporation, an offspring of the Order. The new company has obtained licenses to operate in Maryland. Long Island. District of Columbia. New Jersey and New York.
