Banks Disburse $23,000 from Six Trust Funds

Four banks holding six trust funds under disposition of the Community Trust, will disburse $23,160.29 July 1 for philanthropic purposes, as ordered by the Distribution Committee. This exceeds the previous high total of $21,950 distributed Jan. 6.

The funds from which these withdrawals come are the Jacob H. Schiff Memorial, $500,000; Charlotte and Moritz Warburg Memorial, $500,000; Camp Edith Macy Fund, $100,000; Edith Carpenter Macy Memorial, $51,000; Eleanor Franklin Egan Memorial Foundation, $20,000; Theresa E. Bernholz Fund, $1,000.

Seven trust funds have been added to the permanent resources of the Community Trust since the last meeting of the Distribution Committee.

Members of the British government attended a luncheon yesterday in London honoring Ralph Blumenfeld. American editor of “The Daily Express”, for his forty years career in Fleet Street. Lord Birkenhead was Chairman.

A talk across the Atlantic at a breakfast of Mr. Blumenfeld’s friends in New York was synchronized with the event in London.
