Jews Elected to Warsaw Municipal Government

Recognition of the Jewish representatives in the Warsaw City Council was a feature of the constitution of the Council.

Jaworowski, representative of the Polish Socialist Party, was elected mayor of the City of Warsaw. Mr. Meisel, a Jewish councillor, was elected vice-president. Two of the secretaries are Jews, Mr. Hindes, representing the Jewish National bloc and G. Zybert, of the Jewish labor party Bund.
