A renewed attack on Zionist policies in Palestine was made by Cardinal Barlassina, the Papal representative in Jerusalem, in a report submitted to the Vatican, it was learned here today.

Cardinal Barlassina, in reporting conditions in Palestine, complains that ” seldom were conditions so bitter as they are now”. In proving this contention Cardinal Barlassina alleges that “Zionism makes life impossible; the Jews have driven away their former Arab laborers, replacing them with thousands of their coreligionists from Russia”.

“Unless we give the poor Arabs land they will be compelled to abandon the country, thus augmenting the exodus of the Catholic population and helping the establishment of the Jews in the Holy Land”, Cardinal Barlassina writes.
