Several Jewish colonies in Lower Galilce and the large Arab colony of Samakh have been exempted from Osher (tithe). They will pay instead an average of their osher payments for the past four years, according to the proposal made in the Majority Report of the Government Tithe Commission.
Nahum Sandier, who resigned last year from the post of Inspector of Tithes, has returned to the office.
