The dynamite explosion in the vicinity of the Western Wall, known as the Wailing Wail, was not the result of a plot to destroy the Jewish Holy Site, according to information of the Jerusalem police.

The authorities stated that they traced the explosion to a feud between two Arab families who were in litigation over some property. The party who lost the lawsuit attempted to take revenge on his rival by destroying his house.

The explosion which occurred two days ago caused a panic in the Old City. The Wall was undamaged.
