The discovery of a fraud perpetrated against Jewish consumers in Poland for many years called forth excitement in Orthodox Jewish families here.

Indignation was caused by the discovery by the Warsaw Rabbinate that a certain brand of margarin used especially in Jewish households contains a considerable quantity of lard. Samples of the product were sent by the Rabbinate to four laboratories, including one in Germany. The chemical analysis confirmed the presence of lard in the margarin.
