Twenty-two Jewish Councillors Are Elected to Lodz City Government

Twenty-two Jewish councillors were elected to the City Council of Lodge in the municipal elections concluded Monday. The Council consists of 75 members. The socialist party secured a majority.

Of the Jewish councillors elected, six represent the Jewish labor party Bund which received 13,993 votes; five the Agudath Israel which polied 11,367 votes; four the Zionist party which received 11,037 votes; three the left Poale Zion with 7,076 votes; two representing the non-partisan Chassidic group which received 4,679 votes and two the Histadruth and the Voelkist party.
