The Jewish origin of Madame Lupescu is a dominant argument in the propaganda of the anti-Carolists in the present turbulent days in Roumania, according to reports received here from Bucharest.

In newspapers and pamphlets campaigning against ex-Crown Prince Carol, it is being argued that a man who left his fatherland and renounced the crown because of his love for a Jewess is not worthy to ascend the throne.

Madame Lupescu issued a denial that she is of Jewish origin. Notwithstanding this, rumors of here being Jewish are spread among the peasants in Roumania.
