The buik of his $4,000.000 estane was left by Fred? L. ? to the foundation he established for bettering housing conditions among the poor of New York according to hsi will, filed for probare. Mr. Lavanburg died. Nov. 5 Always active the ?itable work his ? during his last six months are said to have ? $1,600,00. and in years previous to have best more than $1,000.000.

Alum? associations of the ? Training Schools of nine hospitals in New York receive $3.000 each.

The largest personal bequest is $300,000 to his sister. Mrs. Oscar Strans, wife of the ? Oscar Strans.
