Roumania Offers Excuse to League on White Slavery

The excuse of the Roumanian government in the controversy aroused over the report submitted to the League of Nations on white slave traffic was that “the women recruited for export traffic are not native Roumanians, but are recruited for most part from the Hungarian-Jewish minorities.” These remarks were contained in a note addressed by the Roumanian government to the League’s Council.
