A special dockyard will be built for the repair of ships. It is calculated that vessels of a maximum displacement of 5,000 tons will be capable of being moored to the quays.

One million and a half tons of stones will be quarried for the needs of the harbor in the two quarries acquired for this purpose by the Government in the vicinity of Haifa. Part of the stones will be brought to the site of building operations by boat and part by train.
